Introduction to Genealogy  (Beginner's Classes)
10:00 am to 12:00 pm
This class consists of three sessions as shown below. Sessions I and II are held in the History Room on the second floor of the Indian River Main Library. Session III is held in the Genealogy Department on the second floor of the Indian River County Main Library.
  • Session I Lecture: How to get started: How to record and organize your facts. How to search for additional information. How to find and use available resources.
  • Session II Lecture and demonstration: Deals with finding information on the internet; and learning to use the library’s genealogy department resources.
  • Session III Is a hands-on session using the library’s genealogy department computers to search online for your ancestors’ records and other information.
