Janet Stanton is a retired elementary school teacher with a passion for genealogy and a deep commitment to preserving family history. Known as the "Keeper of Family Treasures," Janet has a special focus on preserving and safeguarding precious heirlooms and artifacts. A new member of IRGS, Janet is excited to connect with others who share her enthusiam for uncovering ancestral stories.
Recently, she was honored to receive the IRGS Martha Dodd Scholarship, enabling her to attend the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy's week-long "Organizing, Preserving, and Disaster-Proofing Your Family Archives" presentation.
